Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, expressed pride in the more than 830,000 students in the UAE who participated in the Arab Reading Challenge this year.
In a post on his official account on the X platform, His Highness said: “I am proud of the more than 830,000 students in the UAE who participated in the Arab Reading Challenge this year. I am proud of their reading skills, their passion for knowledge, and their attachment to books.”
His Highness added: “Civilization is built through you… Reading is the infrastructure for development, progress, and creativity.”
Sheikh Mohammed also congratulated Dana Adel Al Zarouni, who won first place at the UAE level, and will represent the country among participants from 60 countries.
His Highness said: “I congratulate student Dana Adel Al Zarouni on winning first place at the UAE level, representing the country among 60 countries that participated this year and 40 million students who were part of the challenge in this academic year.”
The Arab Reading Challenge is one of the flagship initiatives of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, aimed at promoting reading and knowledge among students across the Arab world and beyond.
